This weekend we head into another exciting bout of fixtures throughout the English leagues. Looking carefully through the games ahead, we at Footy Tips Today have picked out three key games to help you out.
Back Cardiff City to beat Fulham – 13/5 with Paddy Power
Cardiff City are the only side in the Championship to have won all five games played so far. Neil Warnock will be more than pleased with how their season has started. The Welsh side have scored ten goals and only conceded two. Scoring at least two goals in each game should be a key factor in their recent wins. Nathaniel Mendez-Laing is a player that has played his part so far. The 25-year-old has managed to score four goals this season for Cardiff. Fulham have managed six points so far and only managed to scored four goals despite letting in just three. We feel that Cardiff will prove too much to handle for Fulham, even at Craven Cottage.
We feel that Cardiff will prove too much to handle for Fulham, even at Craven Cottage. Therefore, we are backing the Cardiff win.
Back Fleetwood Town to beat Oldham Athletic – 3/4 with SkyBet
Our second tip comes from League One. Fleetwood welcome Oldham to the Highbury Stadium. Totalling nine points from four games, Uwe Rosler’s side will be pleased with their start to the season. Their first loss away to Bristol Rovers will be known but they went four games unbeaten. Two of those four games were at home and resulted in 2-0 victories against Rotherham United and AFC Wimbledon. Their player to watch out for is Devante Cole. Managing to get four goals in four games, he proves to be a goal threat. Fleetwood have also only conceded 3 goals so far. Oldham have had the worst possible start to their season. Latics manager, John Sheridan will be aware what he needs to do after their poor run of form. All five games have resulted in losses with Oldham conceding 12 goals in total. An average of over two every game.
That gives us another reason to back Fleetwood to beat Oldham this weekend.
Back Exeter City to beat Forest Green Rovers – 11/8 with Betfair
Our final tip comes from League Two. Forest Green host Exeter City. The Grecians sit top of the table with 13 points from five games played. Four wins so far for Paul Tisdale’s side means a positive start and heading into their game with Forest Green looks very positive. Letting in just four goals so far shows how tough their defence is to break. As for Forest Green, they have four points and lost the past two games. The worst of it is that they have conceded eight goals in those two games. That now leaves them with 15 goals let in this season. Something we believe that Exeter will take advantage of in this fixture.
We will be tipping an Exeter City win.
