With the international break now over with, we at Footy Tips Today return our attention back to the English leagues. Our picks from this week feature from the Premier League, League One and League Two.
These games are as follows:
Back Chelsea to beat Crystal Palace – 2/5 with William Hill
Our first choice comes from the Premier League. Chelsea are up in fourth place with 13 points even after their recent 1-0 loss to Man City. However, Antonio Conte will carry on as normal because he knows that Chelsea are still capable of getting results. They have let in less than a goal per game and only two in the past five fixtures. That will be something that Crystal Palace may even struggle with. As if things weren’t bad enough, they haven’t even scored yet. Seven games in and Roy Hodgson will be aware of the Chelsea side that will travel to Selhurst Park on Saturday. As a result, It will be a case of damage limitation.
In conclusion, we are backing Chelsea to beat Crystal Palace for more than one reason.
Back Shrewsbury to beat Plymouth – Evens with Paddy Power
Heading into League One our next fixture will be hosted by Plymouth at Home Park. The Pilgrims have been struggling lately and are currently bottom of the table. Four straight defeats and 21 goals conceded is not a good sign for Derek Adams’ side as they are already four points inside the relegation zone. Shrewsbury Town have been sensational this season with nine wins from twelve games. The other three being draws. One of them, most recently away to Walsall who are actually unbeaten at home this season. Despite the draw last time out, Shrewsbury still haven’t lost in twelve matches. As a result, they have 30 points already! The Shropshire-based side should have this one in the bag. Especially when they have a striker like Stefan Payne who has six goals already.
Our second pick is for Shrewsbury to beat Plymouth as Plymouth are finding League One tough this year and Shrewsbury continue to dominate.
Back Cheltenham to beat Port Vale – 31/20 with Betfair
Our final pick comes from League Two. Port Vale host Cheltenham at Vale Park. Second, from bottom, Port Vale only have five points. Even with new manager Neil Aspin, they couldn’t produce a result last time. A 2-1 loss at home to a mid-table Grimsby side showed how poor their season has been. Three straight defeats and no win since the opening day of the season is not a good sign. Cheltenham are currently 12th with 17 points and have found themselves in fantastic form right now. Unbeaten in five matches and four of those were wins. In addition, Mohamed Eisa has been their main man with six goals so far.
Port Vale have scored less than a goal per game while Cheltenham have so much momentum coming into this game. In conclusion, we are tipping the Cheltenham win.
