West Brom followed that up with a 3-0 defeat away to Everton last weekend. West Brom have kept their solid defensive base and have added attacking quality through the likes of Nacer Chadli and Matt Phillips. Pulis’ side held Spurs and Liverpool to draws at The Hawthorns and are more than definitely capable of frustrating Arsenal this Saturday.
Arsenal are 5 points behind Liverpool with two games in hand and have the chance to apply pressure on Klopp’s team who travel to Manchester City on Sunday afternoon. Arsenal have won just 3 of their last 8 games, those wins came against Lincoln, Sutton and Hull. The Gunners have lost their last 2 away games at Liverpool and Chelsea respectively and will be keen to get a win under their belt in Saturday’s early kick-off. Arsenal narrowly beat West Brom at the Emirates in December through a late Olivier Giroud goal.
I think West Brom certainly have the attributes to really give Arsenal a game and I did toy with the idea of The Baggies Draw no Bet however their last two performances have really put me off, so I’ve opted to look elsewhere for value. Arsenal to score Over 1.5 2nd half goals at 23/10 is a bet which really appeals to me. If The Gunners are involved in a tight game they will inevitably be pushing for a goal and if they are ahead, I can see them picking off a West Brom side who seem to already be planning their holidays. West Brom conceded late on against both Everton and Crystal Palace and I think 23/10 is a very attractive price.
