Bournemouth v Swansea City: Pre-Match Betting Analysis

Bournemouth v Swansea City: Pre-Match Betting Analysis (Saturday 17:30 BT Sport 1)

Bournemouth picked up a much needed win last weekend, their first in 2017. Eddie Howe’s team after 4 consecutive losses but with 4 points in their last 2 games look like they may have turned a corner. In the absence of Calum Wilson, Josh King has stepped up and has 7 goals in his last 5 appearances. The Cherries have not kept a clean sheet this calendar year and have kept just one in their last 13 matches. Both teams have scored in Bournemouth’s last 3 matches and in 4 of their last 6 at home. The suspension of Tyrone Mings will weaken Bournemouth further defensively while the integral Harry Arter is a doubt.
Swansea have looked revitalised under Paul Clement and now sit 3 points clear of the drop zone. The Swans have won 4 of their last 7 and looked to be buying into life under Clement. Their away form on the surface looks poor, winning just 1 of their last 4, losing 3. However when you consider 3 of those games came against Chelsea and Man City who they were competitive against losing 2-1 on each occasion, and Liverpool who they beat 3-2, you’d have to fancy The Swans at an open Bournemouth side. Martin Olsson will be a big miss at left-back, he provides important width and has 2 goals in his last 4 matches.

Swansea are appealing 12/5 in the match odds but goals has to be the play here. Both teams to score and Over 2.5 goals at Evens looks a cracking bet. It’s landed in 6 of Bournemouth’s last 9 league games and 6 of Swansea’s last 7 including each of their last 3. Fernando Llorente to score at 2/1 is a striking price worth noting.
