With the season well underway, leagues are starting to take shape. We are now noticing gaps from bottom of tables to the top positions. We at Footy Tips Today have looked into Saturday’s upcoming games. Three fixtures have pinched our attention in helping you gain returns on your accumulators this weekend.
Back Manchester City to beat Crystal Palace – 1/6 with Betfred
This game is a sure bet from anyone’s point of view. Man City are unbeaten this season as well as being such a dominant side. Pep Guardiola’s men have scored an outstanding 16 goals and have only let in two so far from five games. That includes a 6-0 win against Watford with Sergio Aguero getting a hat-trick. Goals have also been coming from Raheem Sterling, Gabriel Jesus and Sadio Mane to name a few. Crystal Palace haven’t even scored in five games, let alone getting a single point. They’ve even gone through measures of sacking Frank De Boer, bringing in Roy Hodgson. A 1-0 home loss against Southampton shows how difficult a task it will be for Palace this season.
With the fixture being played at the Etihad we are obviously tipping the Man City win. Especially after beating Watford who were actually unbeaten in four games.
Back Shrewsbury Town to beat Blackburn Rovers – 21/10 with Betfair
Dominating League One right now is Shrewsbury Town. The side from Shropshire have amounted seven wins out of eight games. The only other game being a draw, meaning the Shrews are unbeaten so far. Paul Hurst’s side have also scored twelve and let in seven. It has been a consistent start for Shrewsbury. As for Blackburn, four wins and three losses isn’t that bad. They went on a four-win game streak but recently lost at home to Wimbledon. Momentum may not be on their side heading into their game at the New Meadow.
With Blackburn’s poor result, we believe Shrewsbury will be too much to handle and will snatch the home win.
Back Notts County to beat Lincoln City – 8/5 with William Hill
Currently second in League Two are Notts County. With eight games played, Kevin Nolan’s side have won six, drawn one and lost one game. They have averaged just over one-and-a-half goals per game and have only conceded seven goals so far. With four straight wins, you can guess why we have chosen for the Notts County win. Lincoln City haven’t started off too badly. The Imps are currently on 12 points with three wins, three draws and two losses. Most recently they lost at home to Mansfield Town. That result may knock Lincoln’s confidence coming into this next game as they take on Notts County.
With the game being played at Meadow Lane we believe Notts County will prove to be too much for Lincoln and have tipped the home victory.
The treble of Man City, Shrewsbury and Notts County will give you great odds of 7.91/1 with Ladbrokes. A £10 bet will give potential returns of £89.14.
