Slaven Bilic revives a bit of faith at West Ham United
Juventus held Barcelona to a 0-0 draw at the Camp Nou to eliminate the Catalan giants from the UEFA Champions League. Juve, who won the home leg 3-0, put in a defensive masterclass to keep a clean sheet. Leonardo Bonucci and Giorgio Chiellini were immense in defense for Juve nullifying Barcelona’s attack and keeping the pressure off the Italian champions.
Massimiliano Allegri was pleased with the effort his team made. “Barcelona not scoring over two legs is almost unheard of,” said Allegri. “They had more chances in Turin than they did tonight. The team defended very solidly.”
The result is sure to lift Juve’s confidence and the Turin team will be looking forward eagerly to the semis knowing that they kept one of the best attacks in the world from scoring a goal over two legs.
