The weekend ahead features another international set of fixtures. With the European World Cup qualifiers, we could see a number of teams confirm their qualification for Russia in the final tournament next year. This weekend also showcases the English football leagues which are already in full swing. We at Footy Tips Today have carefully selected a number of matches which we believe both teams will score for certain.
These games are as follows:
Back both Cyprus and Greece as BTTS – 7/4 with William Hill
Our first pick comes from the European World Cup Qualifiers. Group H will see Cyprus host rival nation Greece this Saturday. Both sides have history and are still in contention to qualify for Russia next year. Cyprus are on 10 points and sit four points behind Bosnia in the playoff place. They have also won three of their last five games. Three of their last five games have also seen both sides score as well. Greece sit on 13 points which means they are just one behind the playoff spot. They did last lose to Belgium 2-1 but will be in good spirits as they didn’t lose heavily and actually scored against Belgium. With both sides aware of what is at stake and the national rivalry between them, this could be quite a feisty fixture.
We are tipping Cyprus and Greece to score as both sides will be very urgent in winning not only a place for Russia but bragging rights too.
Back both Walsall and Shrewsbury Town as BTTS – 6/4 with Betfred
Our second fixture is in League One. This fixture is a West Midlands derby and both teams have history over the years. Walsall are currently 16th in League One and haven’t won in two games. However, at home, the Sadlers are unbeaten this season. Every game at the Bescot stadium has seen both sides score. In total, five games have produced 18 goals. An average of over three goals per game. Shrewsbury have been in fine form this season. Sitting top of League One they look dominant as ever. From 11 games the Shrews have won nine and drawn two meaning they have amassed 29 points already. Paul Hurst’s side have scored 17 goals this season. They have also only let in seven so far but travelling to Walsall will not be easy.
Despite Shrewsbury having such a great start, we feel that Walsall have what it takes to at least get a goal at home. With that in mind, Shrewsbury will be no pushovers and we firmly believe they will also get a goal or few.
Back both Accrington Stanley and Luton Town as BTTS – 8/13 with Paddy Power
Our final match-up comes from League Two. This fixture is between second and fifth at the Wham Stadium this Saturday. Accrington Stanley are third with 23 points already from 11 games. With 21 goals scored and 13 conceded they have seen plenty of action in League Two. Six home games have totalled 15 goals scored. Just under three per game. Luton are currently fifth with 21 points. Just two behind Accrington. They have managed to score 21 goals also but concede 10. With Luton scoring just as many we would expect this clash to feature goals at both ends.
We will be backing both Accrington and Luton both to score. This is due to both sides scoring 21 goals in 11 games.
Back our treble of Cyprus and Greece, Walsall and Shrewsbury and Accrington and Luton all as both teams to score and receive odds of 7.08/1 with 888 Sport at the time of writing. You could return winnings of just over £160 from a £20 bet.
