Starting to delve into the current season, we anticipate another round of fixtures this weekend. With all English leagues starting to shape up we can see what teams might be capable of throughout the season. We at Footy Tips Today have picked out three tips to help you with your betting slips this weekend.
Back Manchester United to beat Crystal Palace – 1/6 with Betway
Jose Mourinho’s men have surely proved much already but their task is to stay consistent. Unbeaten in their six games this season shows what they are capable of and only letting in two goals so far is important. With 17 goals so far, the Red Devils have relied on many squad members to find the back of the net. Romelu Lukaku, Paul Pogba, Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford are just a few. United currently sit second only missing the top spot to their rivals Man City by goal difference.
Palace are still struggling this season. From day one they have not managed to pick up a point. They also haven’t even scored yet. Managed by Roy Hodgson, they face a formidable Manchester side who will look to continue dominating teams this season. A recent 5-0 loss to Man City is not good for morale, especially when you have to face the other Manchester side just a week later.
We will be opting for the very likely home victory for Manchester United. This game will no doubt, be one-sided from the get-go.
Back Aston Villa to beat Bolton Wanderers – 4/9 with Ladbrokes
With three straight wins, Aston Villa have looked very comfortable recently. Steve Bruce’s side have found their form as of late and a 4-0 away win against Burton Albion on Tuesday night showed what they are capable of. Now in eighth place with 16 points, Villa are unbeaten in their last six Championship games. With 16 goals scored in ten games the West Midlands side haven’t lacked in the striking department.
As for Bolton Wanderers, they are the complete opposite. Phil Parkinson will be worried about his job because of how Bolton have done this season. Two points from ten games is quite worrying. Conceding 21 goals and scoring four is another worry as well. Their recent 2-0 loss to Bristol city didn’t help matters at all.
With the game at Villa Park and Bolton lacking goal threats we have backed the Aston Villa home win this weekend.
Back Coventry City to beat Crewe Alexandra – 8/11 with Paddy Power
In fine form right now, Coventry City won their second game in a row on Tuesday night. Beating Swindon away from home moved the Sky Blues up to fourth in League Two. They have the best defensive league record with only six goals conceded. Less than a goal per game.
The travelling side on Saturday will be Crewe Alexandra. Knowing it won’t be an easy game, manager David Artell’s side travel to the Ricoh Arena after four straight defeats which hasn’t gone unnoticed. Out of those four games, Crewe have failed to score in three of them. They lie in 18th place and have let in 17 goals so far.
We are backing the Coventry win as they have won their past three home games while Crewe have lost their last four league games.
The treble of Man United, Aston Villa and Coventry will give you odds of 2/1 with Betfair. New customers can bet £10 and receive £30 in free bets.
